Overview
The Atlas Mountains Expedition is BRV’s fully supported gravel adventure through the heart of Morocco’s High Atlas, designed for riders who want to experience one of the world’s most spectacular mountain ranges beyond the tourist trail.
Over seven days and eight nights, the route links remote Berber villages, high mountain passes, desert plateaus and hidden valleys, combining unforgettable riding with genuine cultural immersion. Inspired by years of ultra-distance racing and refined through previous guided expeditions, it offers the perfect balance between challenge and support.
This is not a luxury resort holiday. It is a real expedition where riders experience Morocco as it truly is – sharing traditional meals, sleeping in authentic accommodation and riding through landscapes that feel untouched by time.
Accommodation, logistics and luggage transfers are fully supported by our local team, with dedicated vehicles providing mechanical assistance, supplies and camp or hotel setup throughout the journey. Riders are free to focus on the experience while still enjoying the freedom and satisfaction of self-sufficient riding during each stage.
Routes may be adapted depending on weather, trail conditions and group ability to ensure the safest and most rewarding experience possible.
Tour Schedule
Day 1 — Arrival in Marrakech
Arrival, bike build, equipment checks and expedition briefing. Optional shake-out ride before a traditional Moroccan welcome dinner.
Day 2 — Into the Atlas Mountains
Leave Marrakech behind and climb into the High Atlas, discovering remote gravel roads and the first Berber villages.
Day 3 — High Mountain Crossing
Ride through spectacular valleys and rugged mountain terrain with long climbs, fast descents and incredible scenery.
Day 4 — Desert Edge Exploration
Link remote villages and ancient trading routes as the landscape begins to transition towards the edge of the desert.
Day 5 — The Heart of the High Atlas
One of the expedition's signature stages, traversing isolated mountain tracks and breathtaking panoramic viewpoints.
Day 6 — Toubkal Region
Ride beneath North Africa’s highest peak through traditional settlements, hidden valleys and flowing gravel roads.
Day 7 — Return to Marrakech
Complete the final stage back towards Marrakech before celebrating the expedition together with a farewell dinner.
Day 8 — Departure Day
Relaxed breakfast, optional café spin or bike packing before airport transfers and onward travel.
